Overview

While launching OpenPlant Modeler, Line 241 error text window prompts which does not allow user to move ahead and modeler needs to close OpenPlant Modeler. 

Problem Description

Modeler receives an Error: Line 241 while opening OpenPlant modeler. See Error message and image for references.

Error Message in Text window:   

Exiting, C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\ WorkSpace \User\OPmodeler.ucf not found, [C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\ OpenPlantModeler V8i\OpenPlantModeler\config\msconfig.cfg], line 241

           

While defining a new path, it has been required to define the path in msdir.cg file present inside OpenPlant Modeler executable folder. See below image and steps to fix this issue.

See path where workspace has been stored:
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\Workspace123\WorkSpace

            

Check path inside MSdir.cfg file: This can be found under below mentioned path.C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\OpenPlantModeler\config 

            

Steps to Resolve

1. Navigate to Executable folder. See path mentioned below
   
   C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\OpenPlantModeler\config
   
   
2. Open msdir.cfg file. Change the path as desired.
   
   C::\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\\Workspace123\Workspace
   
   
   
   
3. Save & close file.
   
   
4. Launch OpenPlant Modeler. It will allow modeler to open.
