When we create 2D Plan view or Elevation View in ProSteel using Detail Style in Detail Center, we need to provide dimension between Grid lines or Construction Axis. This document will explain how to activate Detail style to create automatic dimension between Construction Axis.
Dimensions can be controlled in Detail Style very easily.
1. In Detail Style go to Dimensioning > Views > Reference Points where you can add dimension groups for different groups.
Here we have different dimension groups which is giving the below result.
2. Now to place the dimension between Construction Axis, then create a special Group. Right click and go to Dimension groups > Add special group as shown in below image.
3. It will come up with Add Group dialog. From the drop down select Construction Axis
4. Then in Reference Points dialog select dimension for both Longitudinal and Transverse direction which will give the dimension between construction axis.
And below is the final output.
So in this way one can include dimensions for Construction axis while creating Plan or Elevation drawing.
