Problem Description

Bolts are not placed in existing holes.

Reason

Either for the existing Diameter, workloose and grip length, a bolt is not existing in the database or wrong gap and angle settings are set in the Bolts dialog.

Steps to Resolve

Option 1: Choose right settings in the dialog

1. The gap and angle should be always correspond to the existing gap between elements in the model and can not be less than1. (Should never be exactly 0 as than no bolt can be placed as in CAD systems there is always a minimum tolerance).

Option 2: Check the data in the bolt database file

1. Check the Database (like NascBolts.mdb i n the Data / Bolts folder).

2. Check if for the  Diameter a needed Griplenght is existing.

3. Gripmax value washer heights minus nut heights is the maximum griplenght

4. Gripmin value washer heights minus nut heights is the minimum griplenght

5. The griplenght in the modell has to be always between the 2 resulting values, if not a bolt can´t be placed.
