Overview

Some users have different preferences than what the Bentley Isogen dimension settings are by default.

Maybe you want to see the following Isogen dimension settings.:

-All dimensions in Inches, not feet/inches

overall dimensions

-Pipe and bend dimensions apart, not together.

-See dimensions in the  dimension line, not on top of it.

Isogen Dimension Settings

What do I need to do to get my Isogen output like the example above?

1. Open Project Administrator then load the project  in which Isogen dimension settings need to be changed.

 2. From the Input sub menu of Isogen select edit on the Options File.

3. Choose the dimensioning tab in the Options menu, this section of Isogen settings will allow for greater control of how the dimensions will display and the type of units displayed.

These steps will change the Isogen settings for the example stated earlier:

-All dimensions in Inches, not feet/inches

 overall dimensions

-Pipe and bend dimensions apart, not together.

-See dimensions in the dimension line, not on top of it.

1. Dimension Control [41]: Change all dimensions to inches by selecting the option for all dimensions in inches.

 2. Pipe Supports [40]: Dimension type can be selected by selecting 'Supports Dimensioned in Overall Form'.

 3. Dimension Form [9]: Dimension Form offers more control of dimension styles. We can separate pipe and bend dimensions. You can also change the dimension placement to Regular Dimensioning (Inserted into Dimension Line)

There are more options that control Valve specific dimension settings as well as branches on page 2 and 3 of the Dimensioning tab.
