What's New in AutoPLANT Equipment V8i?
- A new Air Cooler placement option is available via the Equipment > Exchangers > Louvered command.
- New ladder structure that supports placement of ladders on the new louvered air cooler is available via theEquipment > Structures > Ladders > On Rectangular Shapes command.
- Two new pump options have been added via the Equipment > Spec Pumps submenu:
- Reciprocating Multiplex Vertical
- Reciprocating Multiplex Horizontal
- A 2D drawing mode similar to that found in AutoPLANT PIPING is now available via the Setup > Drawing Preferences dialog.
- Equipment Annotation: equipment specific annotation options are now provided.
- Customizing Component Placement. Equipment now works similar to PIPING in ISOMETRICS in terms of the use of component placement. During component placement, the system first searches the project's Method Search Path (as defined in the Project Administrator) for custom versions of files. If found, then these are used instead of the shipping version of these files.
- The display mode options previously defined in the Equipment Tools menu have been replaced with theEquipment Tools > Graphic Preferences command.
- Templates
- Insulation
- Annotation
- New equipment components, plate type heat exchangers etc.
