Background:

The user may sometimes need to replace the existing family on a symbol with a new family. This can be achieved by following the below steps. 

Steps to Accomplish

1. In Promis.e CONNECT browse to Electrical >> Replace >> select Replace Family under Catalogs. 




2. In Replace Family Dialog select the Target Project, Old Family (Existing family name in the Project), and New Family. Select Compare Family to see the details or differences between both the family. Select Ok to complete the replacement processes.
