Overview

In OpenPlant Modeler Placement of tap ports on blind flange locates incorrectly. Below description will resolve the problem. 

Problem Description

During placement of tap ports on Blind flange, user was unable to locate the tap port on face of flange. It was getting placed at its mating point of another flange. see image below.



Further processing the iso sheet and generating the Isometrics produces the error as shown in below image: 

ERROR[0]: Tap point on component can not be associated with component segment

Also see log content generated from isometrics Manager

Steps to Resolve

  1. Open Spec MDB file from working project folder. 

  2. Select Table 'FLANGE'. 

  3. Check for Blind flange data. 



  4. Enter the value for Component Length. See image below.



  5. Save & Close the spec. 

  6. Launch OpenPlant Modeler. 

  7. Verify results after placement.
