Background
In OpenPlant Modeler, by default threaded joints do not have any symbol to show the connection as shown below.

If user wants to show a weld symbol for verification purpose to determine the connection the below steps should be followed.
Steps to Accomplish
- Open class editor and load OpenPlant_3D schema.
- Supplement it with OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling schema.
- Go to WELD class and right click on it and select 'Add Derived Class' from options as highlighted below.

- Name the new class say 'THREADED_CONNECTION'.

- Go to JOINT class in the schema and locate THREADED_JOINT in the joint map.

- Right click on Fastener field and select Add Element.

- Add THREADED_CONNECTION as shown in the Fastener [0] field.

- Set 'Is Fastener Spec Driven' field to FALSE.

- Save the changes and verify the result in OpenPlant Modeler.
