What is OpenPlant Orthographics Manager?

OpenPlant Orthographics Manager V8i automates the extraction and production of high-quality general arrangement plant drawings from a 3D model. Orthographics Manager works for OpenPlant Modeler with increased productivity and cost saving in drafting, which allows engineers to focus on their design job. 

What are the prerequisites required to install OpenPlant Orthographics Manager?

To install OpenPlant Orthographics Manager, user should have Open Plant Modeler downloaded.

What will be the least required version of OpenPlant Modeler for OpenPlant Orthographics Manager? 

Can multiple files be generated in one go?

Yes, more than one view definition files (VAD) can be selected to be processed in a single execution command. This multiple selection of different files reduces the drawing output time for large number of drawings 

Should OpenPlant Modeler be running for Orthographics Manager to process drawings

Yes, it is recommended that you have OpenPlant Modeler running. OpenPlant Orthographics Manager can copy models from stored location and generate orthographics drawings in stand alone fashion. 

What type of views are supported in output Orthographics drawing?

OpenPlant Orthographics Manager supports multiple view types. Users can create two or more views in one drawing area. Besides multiple views, OpenPlant Orthographics Manager also supports composite view drawings as well as views defined within other views. For more details on this, please see the help file with the product. 

Does OpenPlant Orthographics Manager uses Dynamic views?

Yes, OpenPlant Orthographics Manager supports dynamic views stored in the dgn. You can also select MicroStation Hidden Line mode from project settings to select iso-metric views to create general arrangement drawings.

Can we recommend PDS Plant Wave user to use OpenPlant Orthographics Manager?

No, currently this facility is not available. There is no direct process to use OpenPlant Orthographics Manager for PlantWave from PDS models. However it can be done by converting PDS data to OpenPlant Modeler format and converting its DGN to it.  In future user could be able to use I-model based files from PDS to use it in OpenPlant Orthographics Manager. 

Does OpenPlant Orthographics Manager uses an i Model extracted from AutoPLANT Modeler?

No, Currently OpenPlant Orthographics Manager does not support. However it is expected to get the functionality soon in near Future. 

Does OpenPlant Orthographics Manager uses an i Model extracted from OpenPlant Support Engineering?

No, Currently OpenPlant Orthographics Manager does not support. However it is expected to get the functionality soon in near Future. 

Does OpenPlant Orthographics Manager uses an i Model extracted from PSDS?

No, Currently OpenPlant Orthographics Manager does not support. However it is expected to get the functionality soon in near Future.
