While placing structural footings, you may need to create eccentricity between columns and footings. This document will explain how to enable Footing Offsets.
1. In any footing placement dialog, X-Offset and Y-Offset are gray-out by default and initially set to zero (0). This indicates the placement will be on the center of the geometry. On the right-most part of the dialog, a plan of the footing is displayed with circles on it. Selecting any circles from the corners and edges will automatically create an offset based on the selection.
2. In order to enter user-defined values for the Offset, select the largest circle from the plan of the footing. By doing this, the X-Offset and Y-Offset are no longer grayed-out and can be supplied with values based on the user requirements.
Following the procedure, the user may be able to offset footings and introduce eccentric footings based on site and architectural requirements.
