Overview

When producing 2D drawings, rebar labels can be placed with a gap with respect to the text line. These can be done by adjusting the MGNP and MGNH parameters in the display.sys file.

These parameters stand for margin in terms of paper-sized distance and margin in terms of a multiple of text height, respectively.

Method

1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProStructures CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Your WorkSpace\Standards\ProStructures\Rebar\Detailing\Metric and open the display.sys file via a text editor.

2. Press Alt + F to find the MGNP and MGNH parameters.

3. Enter the required values as per desired in the equation provided. Providing a zero (0) value for both parameters will close the gap between the rebar labels and the text line. Please take note that only one parameter can be used at a time, the other one should be set to zero.

4. Save and close the display.sys file. To update the 2D drawings, navigate to Rebar Attributes [Concrete > Drawing Production > 2D Rebar]. In the Change Attributes, select the required attribute or you may select all and click on Update.
