To use component cell to hold as user labels in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.
Background
In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, user can place the content of user labels inside a component cell. An example of this is shown below where an Instrument Tag is to be displayed within a Gauge Symbol.

Steps to Accomplish
- In OpenPlant Modeler, place Gauge on a pipeline & publish an I model.
- Launch OpenPlant Isometrics Manager.

- Select Project unit, say OPModeler_Metric here and click OK. See image below:

- Click on ‘Configuration’ Icon to launch Isometric configuration dialog box.

- From Isometric configuration dialog, select ‘Advanced’ node and click on ‘Open Seed File’ option to allow user to open seed file.

- From IsoExtractor menu, click on ‘Cell Creation Tool’. See image below.

- From Create cell dialog, click on ‘Open template File’.

- By default the cell template is stored under …\OpenPlant isometrics Manager \workspace\OPIM\Cell Templates folder. Select Misc DGN file and click on ‘Open’. See image below..

Note: It is a good practice to create a backup of the template file before making any modifications.
- Go to GAUGE table and copy the text and table rows (Say for GAUGEMT) by using right click context menu and paste it below to define it separately for assigning GAUGEMT symbol. See image below.

- Delete the circular boundary and create desired shape using MicroStation tools and modify the symbology as desired.

- Remove Text and place it again from Drawing. Also check settings as shown in below image

- From Task bar, Place Fence using fence type as Block, and Fence mode as Inside and click on ‘Create Cell’ Option. See images below.
- From ‘Create Cell’ option, defined cell Name as GAUGEMT, and add description as shown in below image.

Note: It is recommended to use ‘Custom.cel’ from cell library, as the changes will retain in one separate file and it will not alter standard cell file lisocomp.cel which will allow user to use the custom.cel file for other project by copying it from one project location to another. By default it does not contain any information.
- Click on OK and Exit Seed file.
- From Isometric Configuration dialog, go to user Labels and check for existing Instrument new Labels.

- Generate Isometric drawing and verify results. See image below:
