Overview

While performing Manual 2D Cut, it is sometimes necessary to introduce new Pattern Styles regardless of any detail styles available. In most cases, we are doing it manually to capture distinct cross-section details as per user requirement.

Steps to follow

1. Under the Steel workflow, navigate to the Drawing Production > Detailing > Manual 2D Section.

2. In the Manual 2D Cut dialog under Options tab, unselect any Detail Styles. This will allow the Patterning tab to be available.

3. If you prefer patterning styles set in a detail style, choose any user-defined detail styles available. Please follow this another Wiki on how to set Patterns in a detail style.

4. In the patterning tab, set the parameters ranging from angle, cell library location, level, patterns to scale.

In this way, the user may produce drawings with unique patterns on Manual 2D Cuts regardless of what are produced using Automatic 2D Cuts.
