Problem

How can you select objects lying directly on top of each other ?  

Solution

1) Select all the objects using the selection frame and then open the Properties dialog box. 



2) You will then see a list of all the objects included in the selection set, listed in rows one below the other. 



3) You can then just select the object of your requirement and right click to check for the available options. You can then use the Select command OR Isolate (hide other objects) to highlight the particular object of your choice.
