Overview

Message center is used to display running log of system messages and any further description about the message if applicable.  . This can be accessed from the status bar.

When you double click on the message center portion (as pointed in the above picture) in the status bar, the message box will open up showing the running log.

So here one can find all the message of all running activities, error messages etc and from here one can understand the problem if any.

This document will explain the different settings of message center like 

1. How to control number of message lines
2. How to Save message log in .txt format?
3. How to clear the existing messages?

Method

Please find below the explanation of all these three questions

1. How to control number of message lines

By default there are 50 lines of messages you can see at a time. If you need more than 50 lines you can setup according to your need.

In Message Center settings window you can setup the no of messages you want. This can be accessed via either 

a. Right Click Message Center field of the status bar which will pop up displays that allows you to open the settings.

In this way you can set up the no of messages you want in the Message Center.

2. How to Save message log in .txt format?

The messages can be saved in .txt format. This can be done same way by right clicking the Message Center field of the status bar, and say "Save Messages"

It will then ask you to save the file in .txt format

3. How to clear the existing messages?

Use key - in "MSGCENTER CLEARMESSAGES"  which will clear all the existing messages

And then you will get the blank Window for Message center
