Overview

When any ProStructures CONNECT Edition, the file referenced in MicroStation V8i, Open Plant Modeler V8i, etc., the snaps for ProStructures elements will not work. To get rid of this problem rename the extension of ProStructures.cfg to another name like ProStructures.cf1. After renaming this file you can able to snap the points. So this wiki will explain how to snap ProStructures element when it is referenced in the other V8i products.

Method

Please follow the below steps to achieve this.

1. Go to the below path for MicroStation V8i:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\MicroStation\config\appl

And here rename the extension of ProStructures.cfg to any other name like ProStructures.cf1.

2. Same for Open Plant Modeler also. Please open the below path for Open Plant Modeler V8i:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\ OpenPlantModeler\config\appl

Here also rename the extension of ProStructures.cfg to any other name like ProStructures.cf1.

3. Now, launch MicroStation V8i or Open Plant Modeler V8i and attach the ProStructures file as a reference. See in the below image the snaps are working now properly.

In this way, you can snap ProSteel elements when referenced in other v8i products.
