SITEOPS has the ability to include additional costing for objects (Points, Paths, Areas, and Blocks) to create a comprehensive Cost Report/Budget for optimized solutions. Miscellaneous Costing can be used to include user defined costs that SITEOPS does not account for in its basic cost reports, such as Utility costs (e.g., Sanitary Sewer), Vertical Building costs, Signal and Signage costs, etc.

Apply Cost to Objects
- Select the desired object (Point, Path, Area, or Block). NOTE: Multiple objects can be selected at the same time if they will have the same cost settings.

- Open the Properties Manager for the object(s).

- In the Miscellaneous Cost section, check the Miscellaneous Cost option. This will enable costing for the object.

- Cost Category – This is the group that the item is associated with. All items with this Cost Category will be grouped together and subtotaled on the SITEOPS Cost Report.
- Cost Name – This is the name of the individual item. This will appear as a line item under the specified Cost Category on the SITEOPS Cost Report.
- Unit – The desired unit of measure to be applied to the object. Along with Unit Price, this is used for calculating the object’s cost. The Unit is determined by the object (e.g., Points will show individual units, Areas will show individual and area units, Paths will show individual and linear units).
- Unit Price – The price specified for the selected unit. This value, together with the Unit, calculates the cost for the object (If the Unit is set to linear units and the object is lengthened, the cost will be automatically adjusted). NOTE: Unit price can be a negative number.
- Fill in the appropriate information for the Cost Category, Cost Name, Unit, and Unit Price.

- Press <Enter> to accept any changed values.
