Installing This Update

At the beginning of the year 2021 the online version of SITEOPS is being phased out and replaced by OpenSite SITEOPS due to licensing changes. We are keeping the online system up temporarily to allow for transition. We are close to the end of the transition period.

To download and install the new OpenSite SITEOPS to must download and install OpenSite Designer from the fulfillment center. During the process  there will be an option to select Bentley OpenSite SITEOPS. Select Bentley OpenSite SITEOPS under the heading Companion Applications, see image 1 below.

After installation, you should also have an icon for OpenSite SITEOPS, if you don’t have an OpenSite SITEOPS icon and don’t see it in the windows search then you can create a shortcut for it…browse to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\OpenSite SITEOPS directory. right-click the OpenSITEOPS.exe file, then click Send To => Desktop (Create shortcut), see image 2 below.

Once you open OpenSite SITEOPS, then you should be able to click the Download Data button  on the Project tab, see image 3 below.  This ONLY NEEDS TO BE DONE ONCE. All the data will be downloaded to the Workspace Location, which you can see in the User Preferences, see image 4 below.  Once the data is downloaded you will access the project/revision the same way as you did before. You can also move the data anywhere and point to it on each users machine by changing the Workspace Location.

After this initial release we found some issues and fixed them.

We created a priority build of OpenSite Designer (Version 10.9.1.3) to fix some defects before end of year.  Currently this version of OpenSite SITEOPS is only accessible through the link below and will not be part of OpenSite Designer until the new version of OpenSite Designer is released in 2021.
