Background
Sometimes we need particular property to have default value so that it doesn't remain empty. This article will explain how you can add default value for a particular property.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch class editor and load OpenPlant_3D schema. This schema is generally located in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\%PROJECT_NAME%\Dataset\schemas folder.
- Supplement it with below listed schemas:
OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Modeling.01.07
OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Metric_DefaultValues.01.07
- Select the property on which the default value has to be defined. TEST_PROP has been created for this example.

- Add 'Default Value' custom attribute on this property and change the location of this attribute to OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Metric_DefaultValues.01.07.

- Add default value as per requirement in Value field.

- Save the changes in schema and re-open the model to verify the result.
