With new SS5 release several users Enhancements has been been included in it. Below are the list to have a preview of it. This will further get discussed exclusively on each topic for easy understanding to allow user to get most of the benefit out of it. 

• Overwrite revision Number: New setting which determines whether to overwrite an existing document, or create a new version.

• Set Application for Isometrics Document - The Isometric Configuration dialog lets you define an application to use to open the isometric from ProjectWise.

• Support for AutoPLANT's "Miscellaneous Attachments.

• Support for variable symbol shapes for user NOTE labels.

• Cell name as expression in user label definitions.

• Additional dimensioning options (sloped pipe annotations) have been added.

• Rule based symbology options for isometrics output.

• Multiple output formats can be configured for DGN 3D, DWG 2D, DXF 2D and DGN 2D.

• 2D Export formats can be recreated after manual editing the iso.

• New option to position specific symbols transversely in the pipeline (wall, floor, etc.).

• Ability to change default tagging options for WELDID/PIPE CUTID.

• New option to replace multiple coinciding welds with a single weld (e.g. slip-on flanges).

• Creation of DWG 2D output files.

• Symbology configurations for DWG conversions.

• Additional dimensioning options (midpoint dimensioning, refrence dimensions and dimensioning of individual component types).

• Added functionality to populate the Isosheets Grid from multiple lines and be able to run the isometrics output all at once.

• Improved symbol for the flexible hose options which better represents the port directions and geometrical base shape. There is a quick setup process need to allow these hose options to work with older projects. 

• Added option to control whether you are prompted to select a new ManagedWorkspace path for every new OpenPlant Isometrics Manager session.

• Support for installing and running OpenPlant Isometrics Manager without ProjectWise.

• Enhancements in the IsoSheetGrid and IsometricProcessor interface

• Support for changing the style before the Iso generation process or after a failure of the Iso generation.

• Enhancements in the IsometricsManagement tab in the Isometrics Configuration dialog.

• New Isometric Style Configuration options for Tracing has been added to the Insulation andTracing page.
  
  

• i-models backward compatibility: OpenPlant Isometrics Manager now has backward compatibility with respect to i-models that have been created with older versions of the OpenPlant schema.

• Referenced i-models can now be processed: If an i-model was created from a drawing which referenced other models, then the data from the referenced models will also be processed and displayed in the resulting isometric. (For example:  if you have a piping model with a referenced equipment model, then the equipment information will be included on the isometric.)

• New Text Node Editor:  an easy to use tool to define the locations for various project/drawing attributes in the drawing frame.

• Label Modification tool: With the Label Modification tool the user can reposition labels in the generated isometric drawing if that is necessary for better readability

  • New Cells - Approximately 300 cells have been added to support new OpenPlant components.

Integration with AutoPLANT:  OpenPlant Isometrics Manager can now be used with AutoPLANT V8i (SELECTseries 5). OpenPlant Isometrics Manager replaces Alias's Isometric generation application, Isogen that was included in AutoPLANT Modeler application.

OpenPlant Isometrics Manager can be used in the following two ways to generate Isos from AutoPLANT models:

• From inside of AutoPLANT Modeler - requires AutoPLANT Modeler application to be installed alongside OpenPlant Isometrics Manager
  
  
• From outside of AutoPLANT Modeler - does not require AutoPLANT Modeler application to be installed on the machine along with OpenPlant Isometrics Manager (in that case, Plant Framework is required to be installed side-by-side with OpenPlant Isometrics Manager).
