LEGION Data template needs Excel macros.
For Data template from LEGION 2023 version.
To enable macros, please change macro settings in the Trust Center.
- Click the File tab.
- Click Options.
- Click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings.
- In the Trust Center, click Macro Settings.
- Select option: Disable VBA macros except digitally signed macros or Enable VBA macros.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
- Close and re-open this file in Excel.

For Data template from LEGION existing version
The previous version of Data template has not signed macro and required for Excel 4.0 macro compatible. To enable those macro requirements, please change macro settings in the Trust Center.
- Click the File tab.
- Click Options.
- Click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings.
- In the Trust Center, click Macro Settings.
- Select option: Disable VBA macros except digitally signed macros or Enable VBA macros.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
- Close and re-open this file in Excel.

Microsoft has updated Excel security policies.
You might see this SECURITY RISK message:

If so, please do not be concerned. The LEGION Data Template requires macros and there is nothing inherently unsafe about them. Simply, you may need to unblock this file, and you will need to add this file's location to Excel's Trusted Locations.
If this file was downloaded (e.g. email or file share) you will need to unblock it.
Steps to unblock this file:
- Close this file.
- Open File Explorer and go to this file's location.
- Right-click on the file, then click Properties.
- Tick the box labelled Unblock.

- Click OK to close the dialog.
- Re-open this file in Excel.
The folder containing this file must be added to Excel's Trusted Locations.
Steps to add this file's folder to Trusted Locations:
- Click the File tab.
- Click Options.
- Click Trust Center, then click Trust Center Settings.
- In the Trust Center, click Trusted Locations.
- Click Add new location… , then click the Browse button and select this file's folder. You can also add a description for future reference.
- Click OK to add the file's folder as a Trusted Location.
- Click OK to close the dialog.
- Close and re-open this file in Excel.
