1. Open the Logfile configuration file located in the root directory of OpenCommsDesigner (By default: C:\Program Files\Bentley\Communications CONNECT Edition\OpenCommsDesigner\OpenCommsDesigner.Logging.Config. xml):

              

2. Edit the log destination path in the COMMSOUT section (highlighted below) and which of the 5 pre-defined categories you wish to get log information as shown at the bottom: 

            

           

                          Replace "Off" with "info" to enable logging for that category.

NOTE: Logfiles are pre-set to 10 megs in size, with 5 backups maintained—these values are editable. The logfiles are generated in the Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Bentley\Logs\ directory. 

*** Never delete a log while OpenComms is open—you must exit out before deleting the log. ***               

3. Retrieve the logs in the Users …AppData\Roaming\Bentley\Logs folder:
