These labels are not actual text—they are only labels and will not be able to be manipulated. They can be changed to Annotation which will convert the labels to text elements.

 CREATE ANNOTATION:

Right click on the NodeBoundary feature in Map Manager and select Annotation:

Leave the Current Design File checked, and the New Model button checked. Click the OK button:

A NODEBOUNDARYAnnotation model was created inside the current file. Click on the Drawing option to display the Drawing ribbons and select the Models icon under the Primary Tools section:

This will display the models that exist in the file—note the NodeBoundaryAnnotation model has been created:

After the Annotation model has been created, the labels can be turned off by going back to Labeling and setting the Labeling Style to None:

Click on the Attach tab from the Drawing ribbons and select Attach Reference:

When the Attach Reference dialog displays, select the dgn file that is the current active file and select Open:

When the Reference Attachement Properties dialog opens, select the dropdown arrow on the Model: row and select the Annotation model to attach.

Click OK to display the Annotation text in the active file. To merge the text from the Annotation model into the active dgn file, click the Attach Tools icon from the Primary tools on the Home tab of the Drawing ribbons and select the References option:

Highlight the Model containing the annotation and right click on it and select Merge into Master:

Click OK to any warning dialogs:

When the data has been merged into the active file, the reference file will automatically be deleted and detached from the current file. The text elements are now part of the file.
