Reusing Set of  Equipment Components Connected Together in Multiple drawings

Background

This Wiki will be helpful for the users who are willing to use this set of Equipment components often. Also, it will help our users often save time each time to place equipment with nozzles and flanges. Suppose you would like to use this below set of Equipment components across your projects. 

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Place a Horizontal vessel with Radial, Projection, Axial, Radial manway, Axial Manway nozzles. Also, you can attach flanges if needed and Save it.
  2. Now, create a new drawing and open Xref Manager--> Attach and browse to the drawing where the set of Equipment components is Present.



    Press Ok to place the set of components.

  3. Open Xref Manager again and use the steps below to Bind

     



  4. Next apply AutoCAD's Explode command. Make change to the Tag Numbers through Modify Tag dialog.



  5. Also, note the AutoPLANT properties can be seen using I-model composer for this set of components.
