Below wiki article explains how to define default weld type for welds.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch Bentley Class Editor,Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07. ecschema.
- Supplement with below highlighted schema as shown.
Path: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModelerV8i\WorkSpace\Projects\OPModeler_Metric\DataSet\Schemas

- Navigate to Weld Types class, switch to Properties tab.
- Click on Add... to add a new type of weld type property.

- For new weld type enter the details as shown below.

- Save all the changes.
- Navigate to below mentioned root, open OPModeler_Metric.pcf to edit.
Default Path: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects
- Search for variable OPM_DEFAULT_WELD_TYPE as shown below.

- Change weld type as WELD_ABC as shown below.

- Save all the settings & verify the result as shown below.
