To add insulation material in OpenPlant Modeler.
Background
In OpenPlant Modeler, if user wants to add some new insulation material in the list then user needs to modify “OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml” schema.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch Bentley Class Editor.
- Open “OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml” schema say for “OPModeler_Imperial” from workspace project schema folder.
“C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\Project Name\DataSet\Schemas”




- Once schema is loaded, select “Find Class” in Class Editor.

- Search for “INSULATION_MATERIAL_VALUE_MAP”.

- Select the “INSULATION_MATERIAL_VALUE_MAP” class name and press “Go to “

- Go to “Properties” tab.

- Press “Add…” –-> New to add new property.

- Define the Name of new Insulation.

- Save the changes.

- Close Class Editor.
- Now launch OpenPlant Modeler in same units in which changes were made (OPModeler_Imperial in this case).

- New Insulation material must be included in “Standard Preferences” Insulation Material drop down list.
