How to Add New Insulation Material in OpenPlant Modeler

To add insulation material in OpenPlant Modeler.

Background

In OpenPlant Modeler, if user wants to add some new insulation material in the list then user needs to modify “OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml” schema.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Bentley Class Editor.

  2. Open “OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml” schema say for “OPModeler_Imperial” from workspace project schema folder.
    “C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\Project Name\DataSet\Schemas”









  3. Once schema is loaded, select “Find Class” in Class Editor.



  4. Search for “INSULATION_MATERIAL_VALUE_MAP”.



  5. Select the “INSULATION_MATERIAL_VALUE_MAP” class name and press “Go to “



  6. Go to “Properties” tab.



  7. Press “Add…” –-> New to add new property.



  8. Define the Name of new Insulation.



  9. Save the changes.



  10. Close Class Editor.

  11. Now launch OpenPlant Modeler in same units in which changes were made (OPModeler_Imperial in this case).



  12. New Insulation material must be included in “Standard Preferences” Insulation Material drop down list.
