Problem Description

This article will explain how can we change the Units of Measurement of any EC Property for any class. The example of an Out of Box Metric project is taken to demonstrate but the procedure is same for every project. TEST_PRESSURE property on PIPING_NETWORK_SYSTEM has been taken as an example.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Open the OpenPlant_Supplemental_Units_Metric.01.04.ecschema.xml from your project Dataset\Schemas folder in the Bentley Class Editor application.
   
   

2. Find the Class you will be modifying and click on the properties tab.

3. Find the property you'll be changing, TEST_PRESSURE in this case, select it. 

4. In the Units tab, change the Unit value from KILOPASCAL_GAUGE to MEGAPASCAL.
   
   

5. Save the schema, reopen your OpenPlant Modeler application to see the changes.
