Create And Apply Tag Styles

Label positions and text styles can be predefined using tag templates. This functionality helps to create consistent labels throughout design and are stored in electrical dataset.
In following example position for tags will be changed by creating new label rule in Symbol manager.
Same rule can be applied later on other 2x2 lighting fixtures.
Tag Styles should be defined for each lighting fixture symbol in Symbol Manger. In some cases separate templates might be required for horizontal and vertical fixture orientation
1. Select one lighting fixture and using MicroStation move command move tags to a desired position. Change tag's font and size if required.
2. Open Symbol Manager (Electrical>Symbols>Symbol Manager).
Go to Lighting+Power and select lighting fixture that we changed tags for. (for example 4x1 light)
3. Select New button under Tag Style

4. Tag Style Properties dialog box will open. Type in 4x1 Horizontal for Tag style name and click OK.

5. Activate CAD option and select lighting fixture that we adjusted tags for in step 1. (4x1 light in this example)

6. Message Tag Style properties updated comes up. Click OK
7. Click on Save button (next to Click and Learn) to save this new definition in Symbol Mananger.
8. Using element selection tool select all 4x1 lights and go to update labels command.

9. All 4x1 lights will now have tags aligned as defined in tag template.
All newly placed 4x1 lights will also use new tag template.
