How to Extract Port Related Information to Database in AutoPLANT Modeler

Background

The database by default does not contain any port related information. The user wants to extract port related information to Database so that he can create a report of that information.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch the model using Document Manager.
   
   
   
   
2. Model the pipe and save the drawing.
   
   
   
   
3. Open the Drawing Database, it can be confirmed that there is no Port Information Data. Close Database once confirmed.
   
   
   
   
4. In the model, right click on the Component Preferences and select Add Component Preference.
   
   
   
   
5. Search for SAVE_PORTDATA component preference.
   
   
   
   
6. Set the value of Save Port Data component preference to ON.
   
   
   
   
7. Save the model. The port related information will build and populate in table PORT3D as shown below.
   
   
   
   
8. Double click on the table to view information.
