In OpenPlant Modeler, when connecting to OpenPlant Model Server repository throws an error of Bentley.ProjectWiseWCF.PWTransport in OpenPlant Modeler. Refer image below.

Background

In OpenPlant Modeler, connecting to OpenPlant Model Server repository from task pane throws an error as Bentley.ProjectWise.WCF.PWTransport. Such issues can be seen when ProjectWise automatically create an entry in registry for ProjectWise CONNECT Edition even though ProjectWise CONNECT Edition is not installed in machine. Deleting entry of ProjectWise CONNECT from registry will fix the issue here.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch regedit from windows explorer.

  2. Expand to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bentley\ProjectWise”

  3. Select folder with name 00 and perform delete operation. Refer image below
  4. Launch OpenPlant Modeler, connect OPMS with repository and verify the fix.
