You want to work with an English speedikon version together with a German dataset and want to use a company standard.

Background

Download the German and the English version of speedikon in the Fulfillment Center.

Please select speedikon Architectural or Industrial and download the same version in German and in English, e.g. 08.11.12.25, if available.

Steps to Accomplish

Option 1 Uninstall German version, install English version

1. Install speedikon German first.
2. During the installation select Bentley Speedikon Dataset (DIN) Germany. The other options during the installation are not relevant. They are in German so you might not understand them.
   
3. After the installation copy the …\system\std folder of speedikon to another folder.
   The default installation path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\speedikon MI V8i (SELECTseries 5)\system\std
4. Uninstall speedikon German
5. Install speedikon English with MET dataset.
6. Rename the folder …\system\std
7. Copy the folder std from the German installation at this place.
8. Rename the folder …\system\std\mcr\deu into …\system\std\mcr\eng.
9. Start speedikon.
10. Everything is in English language now, except a number of options in German that belong to the German dataset.
    

Option Install German and English version on two different machines

1. Apply this option if you want to keep a German speedikon installation on another machine.
2. Install speedikon German on another machine first.

4. After the installation copy the …\system\std folder of speedikon to another folder on your networt. The default installation path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\speedikon MI V8i (SELECTseries 5)\system\std
5. Install speedikon English with MET dataset on the machine you want use.
6. Rename the folder …\system\std
7. Copy the folder std from the German installation at this place.
8. Rename the folder …\system\std\mcr\deu into …\system\std\mcr\eng.
9. Start speedikon.
10. Everything is in English language now, except a number of options in German that belong to the German dataset.
