Overview

Drawing rules can be used to place components calculated co-ordinate values. At this time, you cannot use DataGroup Annotation for this feature, though you can use the methods below to work around this. A defect (#88919) has been logged with our development to team to address this.

Method

Choose Building Designer > Manage DataGroup Annotation Cells and create a new property text field in the desired DataGroup Annotation cell using the "Custom" format type:

 

A new DataGroup property could be created if the current delivered properties do not suit your needs. The chosen property can be linked to custom VBA code designed to scan the elements in the active DGN file and gather their coordinates for populating back to the annotation cell's text fields. 

Note that this should only be attempted by user with the relevant VBA coding experience.
