How to show all Supports with Same Isometric Symbol in Generated Isometrics

Background

Currently for Supports, symbols are defined based on support classes. In some project, it is required to use only one symbol for all support classes. Below article will explain the case by modifying Isometric Component custom attribute and removing the class name entries from it. See below steps. 

OpenPlant Modeler-OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open class editor and navigate to project path and open schema. “OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml”
    For ex. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenPlantModeler V8i\WorkSpace\Projects\OPModeler_Metric\DataSet\Schemas



  2. Supplement this schema with “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.07.ecschema.xml”
    Note - On Adding & Supplementing schema procedure refer this>>>>> Link. 

  3. Search “Support” class which can be located under Plant base object>Named Item>Device.
  4. In "Isometric Component" custom attribute modify symbol field as mentioned below.
    Symbol IM.ClassMap(this.GetClass().Name,"SUPP”) change to “SUPP” refer below image.

  5. Save & Close Schema. 
  6. Launch OpenPlant Isometric Manager. 
  7. Generate Isometric to review the result.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open class editor and navigate to project path and open schema. “OpenPlant_3D.01.07.ecschema.xml”
    For ex. C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_METRIC\Config\OpenPlant\schemas



  2. Supplement this schema with “OpenPlant_3D_Supplemental_Isometrics_Isoextractor.01.07.ecschema.xml”

  3. Search “Support” class found under Plant base object>Named Item>Device

  6. Open AutoPLANT Modeler.
