Question

I am about to upgrade to the latest release of AECOsim Building Designer.   How I can find out what type of changes were made to the delivered datasets so I can plan accordingly?

Answer

Bentley Systems attempts to keep the schema and general dataset changes between AECOsim Building Designer versions to a minimum so that users more efficiently migrate their projects and custom datasets.  For example, the differences between V8i SELECTseries 6 and the SELECTseries 5 datasets are primarily to accommodate the new features of SELECTseries 6, as well as a few corrections.

The dataset changes between any two versions of AECOsim Building Designer are documented in a dataset “delta” PDF document included in the base folder for each dataset. This may include additions, removals and modifications to existing dataset files.  For example:
