How to Use Various Indexing for Flanges and Fasteners in AutoPLANT - OpenPlant Isometrics

To use various option to display indexing for flanges bolts and Gaskets in OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. 

Background

In some project indexing is required to show in single bubble or Box for each component. See image below for default setup with latest OpenPlant Isometrics Manager version 08.11.11.101. to change various symbols and settings, see below steps for further help. 

Note: In some cases part id label doesn't populate on specific BOM. This issue arises, when there is a new installation of OpenPlant Isometrics Manager & Isometrics folder has not been replaced with Isometrics folder of newly installed OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. Replacing Isometrics folder will solve this issue. One alternative way to update existing is with new variables as shown below.

         

Below steps can be used using both AutoPLANT Modeler-OpenPlant Isometrics Manager & OpenPlant Modeler-OpenPlant Isometrics Manager. Check below shown in both case.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open "Isometric configuration" through Project Administrator. 
  2. Select Settings option and click on "Create/Modify" option.

     
  3. In Isometric Configuration window select the desired Style.
  4.  Click on Advanced Option and select Explore Style.


  5. In “config” folder, open style.xml file.
  6. Search for <PartLabels> and set various option as per requirement. Few of them are highlighted for reference. See image below.


  7. To use labels without prefix -
    Set <UsePrefix>True</UsePrefix> to <UsePrefix>False</UsePrefix>. See image below. .

  8. To change prefix for regional use -
    (e.g in German it represents as F,D,S Flansch, Dichtung & Schrauben (Indexes F, D & S).
    Change settings as shown in below image.

  9. To Change its bubble shape - 
    Set Cell name NOTE_CIRCLE as shown in below image.

  10. To Consolidate Fastener Label in Single Box-
    Set GroupInSingleLabel as shown below.
