Overview

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, to display DATE with different format

Problem Description

In OpenPlant Isometrics Manager, DATE format required to change. In several conditions & various regional settings, date formats are different. User wants to change the format as desired. See current format.

          


Below steps will aid user to format date & its styles. Below settings can be experienced using Both AutoPLANT Modeler & OpenPlant Modeler along with OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

Steps to Resolve

1. Launch "Isometric Configuration" dialog. 
   
   
2. From "Advanced" Node click on "Explore Style" option. See image below.
   
   
   
   Note - User can also navigate to project path and open the file. See default path shown for reference
   
   %Project Root%\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_METRIC\Config\OpenPlant\Isometrics\styles\IFC\config
   
   
3. Go to Config folder and open "textnodes.txt" file. 
   
   
4. Check DATE format mentioned in file. 
   

   #-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
   # The DATE funtion has the format
   # DATE (<date style>, <date format>)
   # <date style> 0 - US style (month, day, year)
   # 1 - European style (day, month, year)
   # <date format> examples shown for US style (January 2 2014)
   # 0 - 1-2-14
   # 1 - 01-02-14
   # 2 - 1-2-2014
   # 3 - 01-02-2014
   # 4 - 1/2/14
   # 5 - 01/02/14
   # 6 - 1/2/2014
   # 7 - 01/02/2014
   # 8 - 20140102

5. Based on above format, type DATE = DATE (0,7)
   
   
   
   Note - Please be careful regarding spaces between variables mentioned above, as results may vary using different format. 
   
   
6. Save & Close file. 
   
   
7. Generate Isometrics & Verify result. See image below with selected date format 7. 
   
   
   
   
8. Similarly user can select any style & format as per requirement.
