In AutoPLANT Modeler, user wants to force a particular class to show under field material in bill of material

Background

This article explains, how to force gauge class to show under field material in generated bill of material.

AutoPLANT Modeler-OpenPlant Isometrics Manager

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open OpenPlant_3D.01.07. ecschema using Bentley Class Editor.

    Path: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_METRIC\Config\OpenPlant\schemas

  2. Supplement with below highlighted schema.



  3. Navigate to Plant Base Object, right click on plant base object & select copy using drop down arrow to copy Default Bill of material Labels custom attribute as shown below.



  4. Navigate to Gauge Class, right click & paste the copied custom attribute as shown below.



  5. Enter the details as shown below.

    Name: IE_FIELD_EXT
    value: 2



  6. Save all the settings & verify the result as shown below.
