How to Fix Mating Flange Orientation Direction in DWG for AutoPLANT - OpenPlant Isometrics

Problem Description

While generating isometrics in DWG format, sometimes user may face problem of mating flange rotation in wrong direction. Following steps would help user to get the correct flange orientation.

Steps to Resolve

  1. Create the isometric in DWG format
  2. Open it from OPIM.
  3. Form the MS menu select File > Save As. See image below


  4. Select the DWG output format and click the Options button.
  5. In the "General" tab expand the "Cells" option.
  6. Uncheck “Create Single Block For Duplicated Cells”.


  7. Click on the save icon. Once click on save button it will point out 'opim.dws' file navigate to project path 
    Ex: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_METRIC\Config\OpenPlant\Isometrics\styles\IFC\config\dwgdata


  8. Following window will open click "Yes"

  9. Close seed file and regenerate isometric it to verify results. It should produce correct rotation in drawing.
