Overview
How to change isometric coordinate without changing AutoPLANT Modeler coordinate.

Background

When generate isometric by default generated isometric will show component coordinate as per AutoPLANT 3D model coordinate. Sometimes user may have project requirement to change isometric coordinate as per their own coordinate system.

Below steps explain How to change isometric coordinate without changing AutoPLANT Modeler coordinate.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Go to project location.
    Ex: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Plant V8i\Bentley Plant V8i Projects\SAMPLE_METRIC\Config\OpenPlant\Isometrics\styles\As-Built\config
  2. Open Gridlines.txt file in Notepad.
  3. Define new grid.

    GRID global
    ACS 2000  500 750 0
    LINE A E  -1000000000    0          0  2000000000
    LINE 1 N   0         -1000000000    0 2000000000

Refer below image for actual location of ACS.

Define grid so that all model should be covered in define grid.

Grid definition =
Grid Name, Direction, X, Y, Z, Rotation, Length.

         4. Save file and generate isometrics to review the isometric.
