Problem

Can Bentley Facilities Space Planner run on AECOsim Building Designer instead of MicroStation?  If so, how is it configured?

Solution

The option to choose a platform application is available while installing Bentley Facilities Space Planner.  

However, you can change this after the fact by modifying the Facilities Planner shortcut and changing the Target field from MicroStation to AECOsim Building Designer:

 From
 "C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\MicroStation.exe" -ws_BFPLANNER=1
 to
 "C:\Program Files\Bentley\AECOsim CONNECT Edition\AECOsimBuildingDesigner\AECOsimBuildingDesigner.exe" -ws_BFPLANNER=1

Note that during installation the file "bf.cfg" is created in the target platform application's \config\appl folder, so you will also need to move that file from the MicroStation \appl folder to the corresponding AECOsim Building Designer \appl folder.
