Problem

If I mirror a slab and then drag any of its edit handles, the next time I need to modify that slab the edit handles no longer display.  

Solution

Use the keyin TFREBUILD on the slab in order to re-display its edit handles. If for any reason you need to mirror the slab a second time, simply use the TFREBUILD command again and the edit handles will be retained.

Note: While this issue is reproducible in AECOsim Building Designer V8i SELECTseries6, the edit handles no longer disappear when mirroring a slab in OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition.
