Solution
Please note that resolving VBA problems may require the intervention of your IT support teams or services as these are primarily Windows system matters. Some level of administrative permission is needed for most of the potential solutions.
The following are potential solutions to this issue:
- Re-Install AECOsim Building Designer using recommended methods i.e. User Account Control must be set to "Never" and you also must have administrator rights to install the program.

- If Office 365 is installed, it must be the locally installed version on the machine and not the cloud based version.
- Try a repair install of Microsoft Office (assuming it is already installed).
- Be sure to have the latest Windows Updates installed which will include the necessary and latest versions of vba files.
- Try Installing latest "Visual Studio" and select "Desktop Application Development" environment without "Optional" content.
- Information on this Microsoft page may help to resolve deeper problems. Specific Microsoft solutions previously linked here are no longer available
