Overview

The software allows you to easily model atrium spaces, double-height rooms, or large warehouses.

Method

This can be achieved directly with no workarounds needed. The only consideration is in relation to the roofs, so you that you have separate roofs over each floor, so that you can easily Set Up Roofs.

For example, take a simple two story building with an atrium entrance:

  1. In the below, the ground and first floor rooms have been traced, each 4m tall. To draw the double-height atrium, trace the room on the ground floor and simply enter the room height of 8m:

  2. When the room is complete, the software will automatically recognise adjacent rooms, independent of what floor they are on,  and will create the resultant surfaces. These adjacencies can be viewed/edited in the surface properties in the project tree.

  3. Create one roof over the Atrium, and a separate roof over the remaining rooms.

  4. Doing so will allow you to Set Up Roofs accurately:

  5. This completes the model.
