Background
In ProjectWise explorer, the requirement is to create new design files in the managed environment. This wiki article explains the steps to do so.
Steps to Accomplish
- Launch ProjectWise Explorer/Client CONNECT Edition

- Double click on the desired data source & log-in with the appropriate password as shown

- Expand the workspace folder & Search for the design files folder.

- Right-click on the empty space & create a new document as shown

- Select advanced wizard from the wizard dialogue & hit ok as shown

- Once done, the Advanced document creation wizard will pop up. Hit next as shown

- Select the target folder in which file to be created & click on next as shown

- To select the template file, click on select > select template file > Open & Hit Next as shown

Note: One can browse to any other folder to choose the template document.
- Hit next on the resolve document name conflict dialogue as shown.

Note: If we check on the create a new version, this meant that the Name, Filename & Description of existing documents are preserved.
- Enter the desired name, description (if needed), select Application & click on next as shown

- Click on next to the confirmation window for the new document as shown

- Click finish on the successful document creation dialogue as shown

- As shown, the new file is created in the folder successfully.
