What is the Key-in that will directly create the PDF from any file (2D or 3D)?

 Product(s):OpenBuildings Designer
 Version(s):CONNECT Edition
 Area:Import/Export
 Subarea:Print

Problem Description:

It is often found out the user needs to create a PDF directly from the DWG or DGN file without choosing the PLTCFG file or the folder location where the PDF will be stored (by default it should load in the ‘Plot” folder under ‘Output’ in WorkSet location).

Steps to Resolve

To achieve this requirement the following key-in is needed,

‘print execute’

If you use this particular key it will directly open the pop-up window called ‘Save Print As’

There you can see the PDF will be stored in the ‘Plot’ folder for the particular WorkSet. (for example, here it will store in the location below,
C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenBuildings CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\Building_Examples\WorkSets\BuildingTemplate_AU\Output\Plot)

There all you need to do is to give the PDF a name as per your requirement and then click on the ‘Save’ button.
