Background

If you need to create parallel raceway systems to existing ones you can make use of the Raceway Offset tool to quickly and easily create them. This will save time over using the Raceway Router tool to manually position and rout the new raceway.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Bentley Raceway and Cable Management and Open the Raceway file.

  2. Select the Raceway Offset tool from the Raceway ribbon tab, Cable Tray & Conduit ribbon group.

  3. Select the Source Raceway’s Infoline by Left -Click.

  4. Select the Target Raceway’s Infoline by Left-Click and then Right-Click anywhere on the screen to save the selection.

  5. The Raceway Offset dialog will open.
Select Browse button for the Properties to open Raceway Property Manager.

  6. Select the properties for example:
    Voltage Level: LV
    Max Capacity: high (100%)
    Then select OK.

  7. Select Browse button for RW System to open Raceway Properties.

  8. Select the Raceway System, Catalog and Variant as needed.

  9. Set the Offset (vert) for vertical offset and Offset (hor) for horizontal offset.
For example: Vertical offset of 0.15 is set.
Select OK to create the raceways.

  10. As shown in the image below, the raceway system with the selected properties and offset will be automatically generated.
