How to Configure Raceway Fittings in Bentley Raceway and Cable Management CONNECT Edition

Background

If you want to create custom fittings as per the design requirement, it could be done with the help of Raceway Catalog Creation Tool.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Select Raceway Catalog Creation tool from the Manage ribbon tab.


  2. Create New Raceway Catalog window pop-ups and there are tab General Setting, Fittings, UDAs.


  3. In General Settings, change Edit Mode as Edit, select Catalog name (Copper Cable Ladder Series 1 Steel) then Select system (Cable tray Solid Bottom, Cable Ladder, Cable Basket, Conduits)
     
  4. In Fittings, there are Available fittings for selected raceway system in BRCM and Selected fitting are fitting customized according to the parameter that are mentioned.
     
  5. Click to add new row for adding parameter for selected raceway catalog.


  6. Add value and description for same parameter. 


  7. IN UDA tab, you can add additional attributes for fitting as needed.



  8. Click OK.

    NOTE: Before modifying this, make a backup copy of dataset.

    Verify Results: For Cooper Cable Ladder series 1 steel catalog, Bend 20deg. And vertical Bend 20 deg. is categorized. We can place its fitting by selecting Preference and Place Part.
