Background

In Bentley Raceway and Cable Management the raceway covers can be displayed if a cover is selected for the Cover Type UDA.
By default the raceway is rendered on the drawing file without a cover. This is article describes how to make raceways appear with a cover.

Note:
1. Raceway covers will only display as solid, flat, non-flanged covers.
2. Covers may be more difficult to see when using the WireFrame display style. Try using Filled Hidden Line, Smooth or other display styles.

Steps to Accomplish

1.Launch the application and open a Raceway DGN file.



2.Go to Manage tab and Click on Raceway Catalog Creation.



3.In General Settings tab of Raceway Catalog Creation tool, select the Raceway system and Raceway catalog for which the cover is to be displayed.




4.Go to Fittings tab and select the desired fitting and in the select parameter drop-down list select Cap Style as the parameter.



5.By default the value of Cap Style is set to ‘0’.



6.For displaying the raceway cover the Cap Style value should be set to ‘1’. Set the value of Cap Style as ‘1’. This will enable the display of raceway cover.



7.Click OK. The raceway catalog will get modified accordingly.



8.Route the modified raceway which has the Cover Type UDA assigned.



9.The raceway cover will be displayed for the raceway catalog.
