Background

 
Bentley Raceway and Cable Management (BRCM) provides the feature to generate Cable Drum Schedule Report.
Procurement of cables is generally transacted in unit of drum. During construction stage, the pulling of cables are drawn out and cut from the drums.
For these reasons, proper drum management is necessary to facilitate the procurement processes and to maximize the usage of the cable in the drums.
Cable Drum Schedule is a report that shows how the cable which is wound in the drum will be cut into pieces/sections and used for construction purposes.

Steps To Accomplish-

1. Launch the application and open Routing DGN file.
Note: Open an already routed DGN file. For detailed steps to perform automatic routing refer to this link.





2. In Equipment & Cable tab , open the Cable Manager.





3.In the cable manager right click and select all the cables.





4. Right Click and go to Cable Reports and select Cable Drums.






5.The Cable Drums list will be displayed. Click Ok.





6.A dialog box to save the cable drum report will be displayed. Click on Save to save the cable drum report as XLS file to the desired location.


 



7.The Excel (XLS) file of the cable drum report will be generated.
