In this Wiki article, the proper workflow to route the cables manually in routing models is shown.
Manual routing is the best way to route the cables when user wants to route the cable through particular raceways.
1.Launch the application and open Routing DGN file.
Note: Open an already routed DGN file.
To perform automatic routing refer this link.
2.In Equipment & Cable tab, open the Cable Manager.
3.Select any routed cable and select Visualize by right clicking on the cable.
Visualize can also be accessed from the ribbon menu in the Routing Model ribbon group.
A preview of the cable route through the raceway is highlighted and shown. This is the route selected by the AutoRouter.
You will now change this route, using the Manual Routing Process.
4. Right-click to exit the preview mode and return to Cable Manager
5.Click on Delete Route in the Route ribbon group from the ribbon menu to delete the routing information for the selected cable.
A BRCM Request dialog appears, asking if you want to delete the raceway.
All raceways in the route will be deleted.
6. Click Yes. The selected route is deleted.
7. Click on Route Raceway in the Route ribbon group from ribbon menu to manually select the raceway route for the selected cable.
8.Select the first raceway route closest to MCC 01.
9.Select the raceway route closest to MTR6.
10. In the Routing Properties Panel of the selected cable, the Raceway IDs are automatically populated.
